I owe so much of my confidence to Maggie and Alex - most specifically Maggie, who gave me the final push I needed to come out to both myself and those around me. Without her, I’m not sure I would have been able to accept myself at all.

The fact that she had a difficult upbringing and was still loud and proud about her sexuality was really inspiring for me as I grew up in an area that was homophobic and didn’t accept LGBTQ people. It’s been difficult seeing the reactions of some people close to me when coming out but Maggie Sawyer makes it all worth it because I know she would be proud of me.

I will forever be grateful to Floriana for portraying her so delicately and to her and Chyler for Sanvers. I miss them every day but I use my pain for good.

Thank you, Maggie Sawyer, for allowing me to fully embrace myself. It means more to me than I could express.
